The company said version 4.7 also features personalized process visualization, enabling development teams to filter very large, concurrent process structures that may contain thousands of unique projects, teams, and developers. Additionally, with a single click, managers can see all the development activity related to the work being done by their team, or under active development, AccuRev said.
The firm said AccuRev improves a development organization’s ability to understand the dynamic relationships between projects, and drives software code reuse.
The multiple server capability enables development teams to utilize multiple commodity hardware servers for any combination of local and remote teams in order to scale efficiently to thousands of users.
There is also increased support for large workspaces – 4.7 supports the ability to manage hundreds of thousands of files in a single workspace, enabling growth as software development projects increase in scope.
Privately held AccuRev claims it is the fastest growing SCCM company on the block; customers include American Airlines, Orbitz, Polycom, Thomson Financial, T-Mobile and Lockheed Martin. The company is based in Lexington, Massachusetts. Competition comes from the likes of MKS, Borland, IBM (thanks in part to its Telelogic buy), HP and Oracle.
