Net income for the quarter was $6.6m, or $0.03, reversing a loss of $2.6m for the same period last year. Excluding stop options expenses, restructuring, the probe into its past stock options practices, and other expenses, EPS would have been up to $0.08. Analysts, who typically exclude these charges, were looking for $0.03 per share.
Analysts were also expecting revenue of $135.6m. For the fourth quarter, Sapient is forecasting revenue of at least $146m.
