The new $60,000 Nokia IP2450 comes at the high end of Nokia’s security appliance line. It runs two quad-core Intel Xeon 5355 processors and uses Intel’s I/O Acceleration technology.

The increased speed lets buyers turn on all of Check Point’s unified threat management features, detecting more threats without creating too much of a network bottleneck.

With two separately purchased Nokia Accelerated Data Path Cards, the box can run at up to 20Gbps, Nokia said in a statement.
