For the fiscal year starting July 1, CACI expects earnings per share between $2.50 and $2.80, compared with analysts’ forecast for $2.81, according to Reuters Estimates. CACI said it had lost a pair of high-margin, recompete contracts in the first half of FY07, which should put a dent in earnings. Plus defense dollar continue to be prioritized to warfighting efforts in Iraq and Afghanistan, slowing spending on new programs.

But CACI expects revenue for the year between $2.05bn and $2.15bn, ahead of analysts’ estimate of $2.01bn.

The company announced the guidance after market close on Wednesday. Shares slipped 1% to $50.60 in after-hours trading.
