In light of the insurer’s recent expansion, it intends to centralize its IT resources, and sees document management as likely to play a key role in the way it conducts future business.

North American Group will first implement the document management system at three of its entities, covering more than 100 users. In phase two of the document management initiative, the insurer plans to commit more of its entities to becoming paperless.

We are going into this project with the belief and understanding that the way we do business will be better, commented Kevin Wellfare, North American Group’s director of marketing. We believe it is going to give us a competitive edge.
