The new device is the StorageWorks All-in-One 1200, and is both bigger in terms of capacity and denser than the two current AiO boxes that it joins.

With slots for up to 12-off SAS or SATA drives, the 1200 has a maximum capacity of 9TB SATA.

The AiO boxes are powered by Window Storage Server 2003, and provide file and block-over-iSCSI data acess. For the 1200, 3TB SATA and a 3.6TB SAS set-ups list at $8,759 and $19,529 respectively.

HP also said that it has hired more sales staff to back up its resellers in EMEA. By press time yesterday evening the company was not able to say how many extra staff it has taken on.
