Wipro Technologies, which is the global IT services division of India-based Wipro, will help IPTV companies to implement Oracle’s Communications Provisioning, Service Activation, Subscriber & Service Management and Billing & Revenue Management applications.
The Communications applications suite links to Oracle’s core business applications, database and service delivery platform and address common but sticky IPTV service operations and support issues around their triple-play offerings, like costly and lengthy service launches, fall-outs and poor service visibility.
Oracle said that 19 of the world’s top 20 communications providers use its Communications Suite software.
Both companies showcased their joint offerings at the IPTV World Forum in London earlier this week.
