The contract extends the relationship between BAE Systems and the BLS, which began in 1992. Some 200 BAE Systems staff will develop software to be used by the BLS, the fact-finding agency of the Department of Labor, to generate economic indicators.

Defense and aerospace firm BAE Systems has won a five-year deal valued at $120m to provide application-development services to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
