According to The Associated Press, the new Dream Skincare software offers tailor-made advice based on the user’s body temperature and weight, which can be entered onto a graph.
In addition to these personal details, the software asks questions about skin tone and the number of hours of sleep they get. Once the user’s personal details are entered, the beauty navigation software offers advice about diet and water intake, among other health issues.
In addition, Dream Skincare features video footage of Chizu Saeki, a Japanese beauty expert, giving advice about skincare. The software can also help users to reach certain targets in the lead up to an important event such as a wedding, Reuters reported.
We have developed the software under the concept of getting pretty while having fun, Konami Digital Entertainment corporate officer, Naoyuki Notsu, told a news conference, as cited by Reuters.
The Associated Press said that Nintendo hopes that this new software offering, which is set to hit the shelves in Japan in October 2007, will enhance the DS’s appeal to female consumers. The publication also said that while the software will be retailed in Japan at $37, sales outside of the companies’ domestic market have not yet been decided upon.
