ADMC and Thomson sign technology partnership

Digital video technology provider Thomson has announced that the Abu Dhabi Media Company has placed an order valued at around E15 million for four high definition outside broadcast units, the first high definition remote production capability in the Middle East.

The order consists of two large production centers and two small fixed axle units. In each case the production capability is based around a fleet of LDK 8000 multi-format high definition (HD) cameras, Kayak switchers and other Grass Valley infrastructure products.

Mohammed Khalaf Al Mazrouei, chairman of Abu Dhabi Media Company (ADMC), said: Media technology is one of the basic elements of the success in the media industry.

Riyad Al Mubarak, CEO of ADMC, said: We want to be an A-class and in the first row in the media industry.
