Rittenmeyer hasn’t been with EDS that long; he came on board in 2005 as vice president of service delivery, and last year he became president and COO. Prior to joining EDS, he was managing director of private equity firm The Cypress Group. He has also held executive roles at other big companies, such as Safety-Kleen, AmeriServe, Frito-Lay, and several rail and transport firms.
After Septmeber 1, Jordan will remain chairman and serve as an executive officer at EDS, according to a company statement.
