Accenture has been providing back-office services to Thomas Cook as part of a 2002 deal they signed. But Thomas Cook in June merged with UK package holiday company MyTravel, so the new deal will focus on bringing MyTravel operations into the current outsourcing engagement with Thomas Cook.

The new deal includes applications and infrastructure services for the company’s back-office systems. On the BPO side, Accenture will handle finance and accounting functions, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger support and management reporting. Human resources areas covered under the deal include HR administration and payroll for Thomas Cook’s UK workforce.

The services will be delivered through a shared center in the UK as well as Accenture’s global network of offshore centers.
