According to Greyfirst, Celtx is the first software offering to provide all of the tools needed for film, video, theatre and animation pre-production. The company also boasts that Celtx is used by independent media makers in over 125 countries, and is the software of choice for students in over 500 universities and film schools worldwide.
The software is free, open source and works on Windows, Mac and Linux. It also enables users to work collaboratively, allowing media creators to share projects with team members and to create private worksites on Celtx Project Central.
The new version of the software is v.0.9.9.
