IMI Global provides verification and internet solutions for the agricultural/livestock industry. The company offers web-based applications for verification and identification, as well as a range of consulting services.

Cara Gerken, vice president of quality services of IMI Global, said that the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) approval means that Arkansas can become the second state department of agriculture, behind Missouri, to utilize IMI Global’s quality system assessment (QSA) program for source and verification for cattle.

We are pleased to count the Arkansas Department of Agriculture as our latest client for IMI Global’s verification services, said Ms Gerken. Their adoption of a USDA approved QSA program will help Arkansas cattle producers not only receive premium prices for their cattle at auction, but qualify their beef for export to the recently reopened Japanese market. This move will also come as good news to meat packers who are seeking to expand their sources of export eligible beef.
