Under the terms of the three-year agreement, AT&T will serve as the primary provider of local network and data services to Gonnella and will deliver IP-enabled virtual private network (VPN) services.
Gonnella decided to expand and improve its communications network as its recent growth initiatives, including introducing new products and bringing a new Pennsylvania facility online, have increased the demand for greater bandwidth in order to share data across the company’s facilities.
Gonnella’s AT&T IP-enabled VPN is a managed service that will support the bakery’s development by combining the security and redundancy of a private network with multiprotocol label switching capabilities, which will enable Gonnella to prioritize data as it travels across the network.
In addition, Gonnella is expected to achieve greater efficiency through enhanced accessibility and reliable communications among its various locations.
We may be in a 90-year-old building, but now that we have global customers, it is time for us to have a sophisticated communications and data network system to help us better serve all of our customers, no matter how big or small, said Thomas Marcucci, vice president of sales and marketing for Gonnella. We are confident that AT&T is providing a secure and flexible infrastructure that will support our business communications as we continue to grow.
