QNAP Systems, a manufacturer of Turbo NAS servers, has unveiled its business series Turbo NAS Pro+ NAS servers and VioStor Pro dedicated Network Video Recorder (NVR) surveillance systems.

QNAP has also unveiled its business series Turbo NAS Servers, the TS-x59 Pro+ lineup featuring the dual-core Intel Atom D525 1.8GHz processor, which can deliver 113MB/sec throughput.

The Pro+ lineup include desktop models with 2, 4, 5, 6, or 8 hot-swappable drives, and an 8-bay 2U rack-mounted unit with available redundant power supply.

QNAP NAS servers are designed for simple website hosting, ultra-high performance RAID storage supporting RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 5+ hot spare and 6+hot spare (5-drive and higher models), stand-alone file downloading, network-wide backups, printer sharing, and video surveillance.

QNAP NAS servers are compatible with Windows, Macintosh, Linux, and UNIX networks and incorporate green power management technologies.

All the Pro+ models include 1GB RAM, dual Gigabit LAN ports, iSCSI support, RAID support, generous number of USB & eSATA ports for capacity expansion, and a range of business applications.

The company is also unveiling TS-x19P+ Turbo NAS models which are designed for home/home office and small office use.

These 1, 2, and 4-drive desktop units feature the new Marvell 1.6GHz embedded processor and 512MB of RAM and deliver performance and many of the applications found on QNAP’s higher end models, the company said.

The VioStor NVR is an advanced video surveillance system which utilises up to 40 networked IP cameras to deliver scalable PC-less video surveillance with real-time recording to embedded hard drives, the company said.
