Nimsoft has announced that Basefarm, a Northern European provider of operational and IT services, has deployed the Nimsoft Monitoring Solution (NMS) across its infrastructure of 3,000 servers and the services and the applications running on those servers.

Basefarm said that the NMS provides scalability, detailed reporting and customised dashboards, which enable the company to optimise the client experience and deliver an array of large-scale services.

In addition, NMS provides a flexible offering for monitoring complex Web-based services and applications; and will replace the numerous open source and commercial offerings that Basefarm had been using to monitor its infrastructure

NMS will also support Basefarm’s newest cloud computing services, which include Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS), Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS).

Nimsoft CEO Gary Read said service providers like Basefarm face a dual challenge having to both manage their own environments and give their clients visibility into the appropriate portion of those environments.

"NMS is uniquely able to provide this essential two-fold functionality while also offering the flexibility Basefarm needs as it adapts to constantly changing customer requirements," Read said.
