NetApp India has partnered with HCL Infosystems, a hardware, services and ICT systems integration firm in India, to provide flexible, scalable and easy-to-manage secure multi-tenant storage environment for HCL Infosystems’ O’zone cloud services.

The partnership will enable HCL to deliver IT-as-a-Service (ITaaS) and provide OPEX-based options for IT infrastructure to end-customers.

HCL Infosystems will utilise storage virtualisation offerings from NetApp and work with NetApp to leverage its global experience in producticising features like SnapShot, FlexClone, Deduplication and Thin Provisioning for cloud services for the Indian market.

In addition, HCL O’zone will now be able to provide an array of cloud services with multi-tenancy enablement.

HCL Infosystems executive vice-president George Paul said their association with NetApp will help them build a robust cloud infrastructure with efficient storage platform and ease of management, well integrated with various technology partners.

With this partnership, HCL O’zone will be an advanced platform to tackle high complexity environments with better storage utilisation.

Further, the storage efficiency of the platform will increase significantly and play an important role in reducing total storage requirements, enabling HCL Infosystems to provide higher SLAs on the O’zone cloud offering.
