New activePDF Toolkit 2011 launched for Microsoft Windows

Developers can create and manipulate PDF files from a Windows-based business apps

activePDF, a provider of server-based PDF creation, conversion and development tools for Microsoft Windows, has launched activePDF Toolkit 2011, the latest version of its component enabling generation and manipulation of PDF files.

This new version offers a managed .NET API and support for AES-128 encryption in addition to offering full native support for 64-bit applications, and also features support for transparent text and images and the inclusion of over 80 barcode symbologies, and performance improvements.

Using Toolkit’s API, the automation of virtually any PDF manipulation task becomes possible and users can form-fill, digitally sign, append, stamp, stitch, merge, add watermarks and bookmarks, secure PDF, the company said.

activePDF CEO Tim Sullivan said they have focused their efforts on attaining the highest level of performance possible, while offering clients additional flexibility in meeting two areas where standards-based compliance are of critical importance.
