Novell has introduced beta version of social collaboration platform, Vibe, which is available as a cloud-based or on-premise offering, that facilitates people to work together and drive better and faster business results.
The Vibe allows people open access to the cloud service and allows users to invite experts into groups and workspaces, complete team projects faster, make decisions and capture work in one location, according to the company.
Through Vibe, enterprises can leverage the collaboration technologies to improve the productivity of their workforce without sacrificing any of the security that today’s business environment demands.
In addition, Vibe is a new collaboration platform that offers the social business and team collaboration offerings, formerly known as Pulse and Teaming respectively, that help users stay informed, access ideas, and easily connect to and work with colleagues, customers and partners.
The company said that the Vibe cloud provides enterprise social networking; online document real-time co-editing; file sharing; and ad-hoc groups and communication.
The Vibe OnPrem features include: team workspaces; automated workflows and custom forms; content management; and flexible collaboration.
Novell senior vice president and general manager of collaboration solutions Colleen O’Keefe said whether it is on-premise or in the cloud, Novell Vibe brings these tools together with an intuitive understanding of business collaboration needs – simply making it easy for people to work together – quickly and securely.
