AT&T has received a three-year contract from Harley-Davidson, to provide Virtual Private Network (VPN) and network integration services connecting Harley-Davidson’s offices in India to the US headquarters.
Under the new agreement, AT&T India will provide network capabilities to sites in India, allowing Harley-Davidson’s employees in India to communicate with their counterparts in the US.
In addition, AT&T India will also provide Harley-Davidson with network integration consulting, equipment procurement, staging, configuration, deployment and staff augmentation pertaining to building the communications network for the new sites in India.
Harley-Davidson India managing director Anoop Prakesh said the company has worked with AT&T in the US for a number of years to support their business and telecommunications needs and had relied on AT&T’s global presence and expertise in helping them enter new markets and countries.
"Just like in the US, AT&T in India has the necessary expertise and capability to support the IT and telecommunications build-out of our India offices and the local AT&T have helped us to kick start our India operations in the most efficient and productive manner," Prakesh said.
