Juniper Networks has reported total net revenue of $1.01bn for the third quarter of 2010, an increase of 23% as compared to $824m for the same period last year.

Revenues from product and service infrastructure grew by 26% year-over-year to $801.2m, while revenues from service layer technologies increased by 11% to $211.2m.

The company posted an operating income of $196m for the third quarter of 2010, as compared to $128m of Q3 FY09.

For the third quarter ended September 30 2010, the company posted a net income of $135m, as compared to a net income of $84m for the same quarter a year ago.

Net income per share grew to $0.25 from $0.16 per share.

Juniper Networks CEO Kevin Johnson said they anticipate customer demand to remain healthy and are well-positioned to drive further gains as they enable the deployment of secure, scalable wireless networks and deliver offerings to the growing cloud computing market.
