Intel has reported net revenue of $11.1bn for the third quarter of 2010, an increase of 18.2% as compared to $9.4bn for the same quarter in 2009.

The company posted an operating income of $4.13bn for the quarter as compared to $2.57bn for the same period last year.

Intel’s income before income taxes was $4.2bn for the third quarter as compared to $2.5bn for the same quarter prior year.

For the quarter ended 25 September 2010, the company posted a net income of $2.95bn, or $0.52 per share, as compared to a net income of $1.86bn, or $0.33 per share, for the same period last year.

Intel president and CEO Paul Otellini said, these results were driven by solid demand from corporate customers, sales of the company’s leadership products and continued growth in emerging markets.

Intel expects the net revenue in the fourth quarter of 2010 to be $11.4bn, plus or minus $400m.
