Business intelligence company QlikTech has unveiled QlikView 10, a new business intelligence (BI) offering that features visualisations to enable users explore and understand their data.

The company said that its new offering lets users get to specific analytics quickly with the ability to refine or change selections via a drop-down list for each selection.

QlikView 10’s Associative Search leverages the company’s in-memory approach to deliver familiar experience of a search engine, and provides instant results as user types.

QlikTech said that the product’s new asynchronous AJAX support enables data objects to refresh in real-time without refreshing the entire screen.

The new version also introduces a new level of integration possibilities, enabling users to extend it with their existing tools and applications.

In addition, it offers centralised management capabilities, including load balancing, administration and refresh scheduling, and supports legal and regulatory compliance initiatives with new end-user usage audit logging.

The company said that the new version enables enterprises to consolidate data from any source: operational applications such as Oracle, SAP and Salesforce.com; databases such as SQL Server, MySQL and Oracle underlying custom applications; traditional disk-based BI, and data warehouses such as Teradata and Informatica; data behind web services; and local data such as spreadsheets.
