NVIDIA has launched GeForce GT 430, a new addition to its Fermi class of graphics processing units (GPUs) that utilises 40nm GPU, codenamed GF108.

The company said that the new GeForce GT 430 features special video engine to accelerate Blu-ray 3D content, high-definition 24-bit multi-channel audio and video processing engine for reduced system power and heat.

The new GPU supports PhysX technology and when combined with NVIDIA’s 3D Vision technology and a compatible display, allows consumers to experience the digital content in full stereoscopic 3D.

The new GT 430 also offers support for DirectX 11 (DX11), for game development.
