OCZ Technology Group has signed a partnership agreement with SandForce to produce new SSD products that leverage Serial-ATA (SATA) III and NAND flash components.

The company said that with the updated architecture, its Deneva Family will continue to lead way in transition from hard disc drives (HDDs) to SSD data storage and IT infrastructures.

The new Deneva Family offers SATA 6Gbps and 3X-2Xnm SLC, MLC, and eMLC flash memory support

In addition, using SandForce’s second generation SF-2500/2600 SSD processors, the new Deneva Family provides 500MB/s transfer rates and 60,000 random 4KB write IOPS.

The Deneva Series also offers a variety of interface options, a range of available form factors, tailored firmware and functionality, locked specifications & BOM, customer-specific factory test requirements, and engineering support.

OCZ Technology Group CMO Alex Mei said, together with SandForce they will be able to offer its enterprise clients with a robust line of 6Gb/s SSDs in a variety of interfaces ranging from SATA to SAS within our customisable Deneva Series.

OCZ Technology is set to begin sample distribution to current and potential clients in Q4 2010, with mass production beginning in Q1 2011.
