RES Software has released a new software suite, called Dynamic Desktop Studio, which it says can help organisations move towards more strategic and cost effective IT as a Service models.
The Dynamic Desktop Studio combines Virtual Desktop Extender (VDX), Workspace Manager and Automation Manager, including its new Service Orchestration Module.
Service Orchestration handles IT service delivery and return based on business rules and self servicing.
RES said that VDX provides the ability to enhance a virtual desktop with applications that run locally, eliminating the need for users to log into multiple sessions to access applications that can’t be virtualised.
Workspace Manager allows IT to centrally manage and create a computing environment that provides optimised access to applications, data, printing and personalised settings based on the user’s needs and the system’s requirements.
The offering is Microsoft Windows OS and application delivery independent. It eliminates scripting, and zero-profile technology solves profile challenges.
The company said that Automation Manager enables IT professionals to deliver any set of changes to Microsoft Windows environments, whether hosted, virtual, or web-based and automates provisioning of IT resources, all from a single console.
New Service Orchestration Module automates employee on boarding/ off boarding, handle self-servicing requests, resource provisioning and migration or decommissioning of applications.
RES Software chief executive officer Klaus Besier said, Dynamic Desktop Studio is a clear and simple roadmap for organisations to execute dynamic and future-proof desktop infrastructures that fully align IT with the needs of a business.
