The UK based communication services provider BT has signed a new agreement with Mapei Group to host and manage Mapei’s networked IT infrastructure.
BT said that the objective of new agreement is to help Mapei Group focus on its core activities, while benefiting from cost efficiencies and performance and service level improvements in its IT services.
As per the terms of agreement, BT will host and manage Mapei’s networked IT infrastructure at its Italian data centre in Settimo Milanese and provide Mapei with a help desk service for its 1,250 Italian users.
BT will also monitor and manage Mapei’s wide area network (WAN) and its IT security, while its Italian business continuity control centre will monitor all resources on a 24/7/365 basis to detect and prevent any fault in business critical applications.
