ZTE, a provider of telecommunications equipment and network offerings, has unveiled element management system (EMS) NetNumen U31, which is an offering designed to manage both fixed and mobile network equipments in a centralised and efficient manner.

The new NetNumen U31 is designed to provide end-to-end capability for high O&M efficiency and can integrate the management of current industry-level platforms.

These platforms include 2/3/4G RAN, MSAN and xPON, datacom/microwave/optical transmission, CS/PS/IMS CN, VAS, and IT devices, for a complete convergence of fixed, mobile and IT networks, ZTE said.

The NetNumenTM U31 leverages on ZTE’s understanding of O&M requirements and network development trends, along with the wireline, wireless, service and terminals markets.

In addition, NetNumenTM U31 user-centred design fulfills AAAA requirements, which refers to: Any One – scenario-based customisation to meet individual demands of a carrier.

Any Time – provides mature high availability and disaster recovery offering to maintain 24/7 continuous operations, and improve recovery point objective (RPO) and recovery time objective (RTO).

Any Terminal – diversified access methods, such as GUI, WEB, and MML, and a variety of terminals; and Any Where – secure networking and physical isolation to ensure network security.

The NetNumenTM U31 employs ZTE’s PPU component technology, which allows carriers to determine the EMS functions integrated into the EMS, and enables ZTE to deliver an EMS that meets individual business needs of a carrier.
