activePDF, a provider of server-based PDF creation, conversion and development tools for Microsoft Windows, has introduced new version of scalable document conversion engine – DocConverter Enterprise 2010.
The new document conversion engine converts approximately 300 file formats directly to PDF, and has the ability to convert existing PDF files to other formats such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, along with other image formats.
DocConverter Enterprise 2010 enables users to convert documents to PDF/A and validate PDF/A files, providing support for the archival standards.
The company said that the new version is designed to enable a variety of document processing scenarios, which can be deployed to an entire network through watched folders, and can be programmatically deployed through an API.
The DocConverter Enterprise 2010 features include: updated API for .COM and .NET development; supports conversion from Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) to PDF; supports conversion from PDF to – HTML Document, Text File, Image File(s), PDF/A; and supports PDF/A validation.
