Accenture South Africa and Cisco have extended the scope of their strategic relationship to serve clients in the South African market, and help clients embed collaboration and data centre virtualization capabilities into key business processes.

The company said that the extended partnership will provide offerings including data centre and network transformation offerings.

Data centre offering includes consulting services for data centre optimisation that support enterprise resource planning platforms and cloud computing.

The offering will be based on the Cisco Unified Computing System, which is a data centre architecture that unites computing, network, storage access and virtualisation resources in a single energy-efficient system, and supports backbone applications including Oracle EBS and SAP in large businesses.

In addition, the offering will cover core enterprise applications; data centre consolidation; and infrastructure services or cloud computing.

The network transformation offerings combines the Accenture’s business-process and Cisco networking expertise, to enable companies optimise their network and data centre infrastructures and improve the performance of applications and reduce risks.
