Sprint’s wholesale business unit has unveiled Wholesale Mobile Integration, which is a fixed mobile convergence service, that enables its wholesale customers to deliver a converged offering to their business customers, integrating their wireline and wireless voice networks.

The company said that the new offering has been created in collaboration with BroadSoft, to integrate wireless and VoIP elements for service provider customers.

The Wholesale Mobile Integration facilitates carriers, cable operators and other communication service providers to deliver an integrated offering that leverages their existing VoIP platforms, creating a wireless and wireline bundle.

The new offering allows wholesale customers to extend their hosted or SIP trunked unified communications services to mobile devices.

The Wholesale Mobile Integration features include: single-number calling to reach both an employee’s desk or mobile phone; call transfers between the two devices; and one integrated voice mail platform.

In addition, it integrates business desk phone features to a user’s mobile device, including abbreviated (4-digit) extension dialing, call centre applications, and selective call acceptance/rejection.
