ProcSys, a provider of componentised offerings in embedded systems, product realisation and application software, has unveiled embedded Intel Atom Z5xx Platform.
The new Z5xx Platform is a customisable, production-ready Intel Architecture platform based on the Intel Atom Z5xx series of processors.
ProcSys said that the new platform is targeted at low-power, embedded applications, and is applicable in areas like mobile POS terminals, communication gateways, transportation & logistics, in-vehicle infotainment, digital signage, portable medical instruments, and industrial automation.
The new platform comes in three processing speeds including 1.1GHz, 1.3GHz or 1.6 GHz; and has up to seven USB 2.0 Full/Hi-speed Host Ports, USB Client port, Up to 3 MMC/SD/SDIO ports and PCIe x1 interface.
The platform includes single channel 400/533 MT/s DDR2 memory, with on-board storage of 1GB to 8GB ATA SSD DOM.
It offers connectivity to LAN 10/100Mbps Ethernet, WiFi 802.11b/g with integrated antenna, and Bluetooth 2.1.
The new RoHS compliant platform is designed for EMC, ESD & Safety compliance and comes with display interface, 18/24-bit LVDS with backlight control, Intel SDVO and 4-wire Resistive Touch Screen.
The platform features low power 3D graphics core and supports three operating systems, which include Microsoft Windows XP/XPe,
Microsoft Windows CE, and Linux.
