Idera, a provider of Microsoft SharePoint management and administration offerings, has introduced SharePoint diagnostic manager 1.2, which provides performance monitoring for Microsoft SharePoint.

The company said that its new offering provides real-time performance analytics of all SharePoint servers from a single console and enables administrators to quickly identify, diagnose and resolve performance and availability problems.

The version 1.2 of SharePoint diagnostic manager features a new dashboard UI that provides view of the health and performance of the entire SharePoint environment.

The updated SharePoint diagnostic manager offers: continuous, automated monitoring from a central console; and a repository of historical performance data that enables trending and forecasting analyses.

In addition, the new release also provides page-component-level performance analysis to enable identification of items impacting page performance; and automated alerting of poorly performing pages and controls as well as server performance issues, the company said.

Idera president and CEO Rick Pleczko said that the SharePoint diagnostic manager is built on the company’s SQL diagnostic manager .

"SharePoint administrators and users will see instant and significant benefits in the health and performance of their SharePoint environment," Pleczko said.
