Sandvine, a provider of broadband network offerings, has released the new version of Fairshare Traffic Management for fixed and mobile broadband customers.

The company said that its version 3.2 of Fairshare Traffic Management features enhanced policy options that address and manage network resources based on application, subscriber, time of day and congestion awareness.

The new version has interoperability with DOCSIS 3.0 compatible Cable Modem Termination Systems and includes advanced reporting tools that offer detailed descriptions of policy actions, outcomes and impact.

Sandvine said that its new release also includes customisable congestion management policies that operate only when and where they are needed.

Sandvine EVP of marketing and sales Tom Donnelly said that Fairshare Traffic Management manages traffic in a way that considers all types of use cases and variations of applications, users and congestion state.
