Jacksonville, Fla based data centre operator Colo5, has signed an agreement with banking and payments technology provider FIS, for outsourced facilities management services.

Under the terms of the agreement, FIS will provide Colo5 with facilities management, infrastructure planning, project management, business risk analysis, vendor management and technical services.

FIS helps organisations to be more efficient and effective in all areas of data centre and facilities management, to ensure operational sustainability.

Doug Recker, CEO of Colo5, said: "The Colo5 team is excited to be able to draw upon the resources of an established global IT leader such as FIS to advise us in planning and executing future infrastructure growth.

"Our team has devoted nearly two years to building out a first class data center that has attracted several of Jacksonville’s strongest companies as tenants that have nationwide, if not global, footprints. We felt we needed to surround Colo5’s customers with the best in facilities’ capabilities and readiness. Aligning Colo5’s facility with FIS’ best-in-class standards makes excellent business sense."

Jerry Santillo, senior vice president and general manager, FIS, said: "FIS will support the high service level quality Colo5 delivers to its data center customers by providing personnel, management and technology planning to manage their Jacksonville facility. We look forward to assisting them in their strategy for continued growth."
