Global thin client manufacturer VXL Instruments, has launched its line-up of Itona desktops, which deliver thin client computing offerings for cloud, virtualisation and remote desktop environments.

The company said that its new range of thin clients available in entry-level, mid-range and high-performance sectors, feature wide range of operating systems, including SUSE, Sylph-OS, XPe, WES, Linux and Windows CE 6.0. They are supported by Xlmanage, VXL’s own remote device management software.

VXL said that its entry-level products Itona TC1430 and 1440 models, incorporating LX600 chip-set, are suitable for task orientated usage, employing ICA, RDP and other established protocols. The mid-range features the 15 xx Series and the 1GHz C xx Series that offer multi-media decoding capabilities.

The high-performance range boasts the Csxx Series, Dsxx Series and Es xx Series. The Dsxx and Esxx series incorporate VX800 chipset that offers support for local multimedia decoding.
