StarHub has acquired smartphone signaling offerings from Huawei to enhance network performance by reducing smartphone signaling traffic.

Huawei said that the smartphone signaling offerings allows StarHub to manage the increasing volume of HSPA 3G data traffic on its network and to deliver an improved mobile broadband experience to customers.

Mr Peter Cook, vice president of mobile network engineering at StarHub, said: "As a pioneer in mobile broadband, we are dedicated to providing our customers with an enhanced mobile broadband experience. We adopted Huawei’s solutions to solve smartphone signaling loads and improve end-user experience.’
