Computhink has unveiled a new ViewWise Web Access Client for the ViewWise Document Management offering that allows customers to search for and download content using web browsers, including Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Internet Explorer, Apple Safari, and Google Chrome.
The company said that the ViewWise Document Management software provides customers with a complete offering to capture, manage, secure, and share their electronic content, while the new Web Access client enables customers to access content whenever and wherever a Web browser is available.
The company claims that the new offering allows customers to access electronic content from a PC, and also mobile devices.
The new offering is compatible with Apple’s iPad and iPhone, Blackberry mobile devices, Palm mobile devices, the Motorola Droid, and HTC products such as the new Evo 4G.
Further, the offering interface is customisable and built using standard Web architecture, which allows easy integration with an organisation’s existing Website or portal, the company said.
Vince Smolek, director of Product Management at Computhink, said: "With the release of technology like the iPad, iPhone, and Droid-based phones, both customer’s and the information-consuming public’s expectations for accessibility have increased.
"Our latest Web client was built to satisfy those expectations by allowing organisations to easily share content with their employees, customers, and the public."
