Cisco said that it has partnered with various vendors to offer comprehensive security with validated systems that comprise its platform and third-party technologies via the Cisco Developer Network and other vendors.

The company said that its validated Secure Borderless Network Systems provides a blueprint for tightly integrated offerings of Cisco and third-party products that allows IT managers to simplify the task of managing security policies.

With Cisco’s validated Secure Borderless Network Systems, the company will offer a security architecture, with guides that assist in the integration process and illustrate simplified deployments based on real-world testing scenarios.

Cisco has recently introduced AnyConnect Secure Mobility offering that provides always-on connectivity coupled with advanced policy enforcement and reporting. It is now partnering with device vendors for interoperability with the AnyConnect Secure Mobility client.

Cisco said that its new Data Security Systems solution uses its security platform and third-party data security technology to protect against data loss on the network as well as on mobile devices in the case of physical device loss or theft. The offering builds on Cisco’s data loss prevention (DLP) partnership with RSA, the Security Division of EMC, for network and endpoint DLP

In addition, the company is partnering with third-party security information and event management vendors in delivering integrated security management systems for improving management of the Secure Borderless Network environment.

Pat Calhoun, general manager of security systems unit at Cisco, said: "The launch of our Validated Secure Borderless Network initiative will enable us to act as a trusted adviser to our customers, providing enterprises with a comprehensive system to most effectively meet their security challenges, while reducing their costs and the risks involved with integration."
