Fujitsu said that it will strengthen its SAP portfolio with the rollout of a Managed SAP IT Infrastructure service, which supports the operation of customers’ SAP system landscape, from consulting, planning and optimisation to IT service management.

The company claims that the Managed SAP IT Infrastructure service enables customers to access the right mix of components to suit their needs, on a pay-per-use basis. It is designed to help larger mid-sized businesses and enterprises operate their SAP environments more efficiently, while at the same time reducing associated cost and risk factors.

According to Fujitsu, the range of services offered through Managed SAP IT Infrastructure service include, managed SAP infrastructure operations, support and maintenance of SAP systems and databases, plus preventive services, such as backup, restore and disaster recovery.

The new service in combination with FlexFrame for SAP provides customers with high levels of efficiency, flexibility and agility that enable enterprises to adapt to changing business needs and to reduce costs at the same time, Fujitsu said.
Initially, Fujitsu said that it will offer the Managed SAP IT Infrastructure service in Austria, Germany, Spain and Switzerland.

Andre Kiehne, vice president of services at Fujitsu Technology Solutions, said: "Our one-stop-shop for managing entire SAP infrastructures allows companies to focus once again on letting their IT power their business velocity, and not to be held to ransom by datacentre capacity and availability considerations.

"The strength of our underlying solutions, including FlexFrame for SAP, and the flexibility of delivery models make Fujitsu the best possible partner for Managed SAP IT infrastructures."
