Autonomy, a provider of infrastructure software, has unveiled Social Media Governance, a new offering designed to monitor, govern and protect organisations across social media channels and enables businesses to maintain compliance with new regulatory requirements for employees engaging on social media sites.
Autonomy said that its meaning-based computing platform recognises concepts, patterns, and relationships in unstructured information. The Social Media Governance automatically identifies content and conversations on social networks and enables firms to tie these insights directly into their existing compliance infrastructure.
According to Autonomy, the Social Media Governance’s dashboards combine data from customer-facing channels including email, audio, video, IM, web content, as well as social media. The offering can monitor social media content from employees logged in through company networks, as well as identify discussion from users operating outside company networks.
In addition, the new offering has capabilities to provide conceptual search of all aggregated content; policy-based monitoring; compliant archiving for regulated content; analytics such as clustering and visualisation tools; escalation and workflow management; reporting and trend analysis; and executive dashboards.
