Nvidia has announced that it will be launching the Nvidia GPU Cloud in order to allow developers to better harness the powers of AI.
The Nvidia GPU Cloud will give developers greatly increased access to new tools and cloud based machine learning via their PC, NVIDIA DGX system or the cloud.
Nvidia believe that the two biggest challenges facing developers at this time are gathering data into a single stack, and gaining access to the latest GPU tech in order to train a neural network.
Jim McHugh, vice president and general manager at NVIDIA, said: “We’re designing a cloud platform that will unleash AI developers, so they can build a smarter world.”
“You can do your best work no matter where you are, using our latest technology in the cloud. It’s accelerated computing when and where you need it.”
Nvidia say that the Nvidia GPU Cloud has been built from the ground up to develop and research deep learning technology on the world’s fastest GPUs, the software will also be accessible through an Nvidia account.
The platform is also incredibly versatile offering a great deal of scalabilty, whether a single developer begins running their neural network on just one GPU, or an entire company working on many.
Nvidia have said that the Nvidia GPU Cloud will provide a range of software for developers including Caffe, Caffe2, CNTK, MXNet, TensorFlow, Theano and Torch frameworks, as well as the Nvidia Digits GPU training system
The announcement was made at the Eight Annual GPU Conference in San Jose, CA, where Nvidia also announced that they would be training an additional 100,000 developers to work with deep learning in 2017.
The Nvidia GPU Cloud is expected to be in public beta by the third quarter of this year, and pricing will be announced at a later date.
