Newfound Communications, a provider of call recording, interactive voice response and dialing services, has launched an updated version of the Newfound IP Call Recorder, version 1.5.

The Newfound IP Call Recorder is said to record any phone call, at any time, for any duration in a carrier, enterprise or contact center telephony environment, said Newfound.

According to the company, unlike most on-demand recorders that capture from the point an executive or agent identifies a threat, the Newfound IP Call Recorder initiates recording at the beginning of the call and keeps the recording only if an escalation occurs.

The other key component to the new version is the option to pause and resume recordings. With Pause and Resume Recording, IVR, PBXs and CTI deployments can temporarily stop and start recording while maintaining a single recording file from the call.

Kris Hopkins, president and CEO of Newfound Communications, said: This new version builds upon the ad hoc recording capability; secure, web-based access to recordings and auto-archival features that have made the Newfound IP Call Recorder a success. Be it an open source or enterprise PBX or 3,000 concurrent recordings for a VoIP carrier, Newfound’s value, features and performance are tough to beat.
