Globecomm Systems, a provider of satellite-based communications infrastructure services, has received a three-year VSAT access service contract from a US government agency valued at $3.4 million.
According to the company, it will be providing managed network services including installation, engineering support, teleport services, equipment and on-going maintenance services into areas of south and central Asia.
The contract includes two one-year customer options and the potential for worldwide expansion to support the customer’s global operations.

Earlier, in the third week of March 2009, Globecomm announced that the Company has received multiple contract awards from various Government agencies valued at $3.3 million. The contracts include Globecomm’s customizable field terminals with AxxSys M&C software, two L band entry terminal upgrades and its most recent product announcement, the Ka band Auto-Explorer satellite terminal. The Company anticipates the completion of these contracts in the Company’s fiscal 2010 first quarter ending September 30, 2009.
