Rebit, a provider of backup and recovery services for PC users, has announced a global OEM relationship with Seagate, a provider of hard disk drive and storage products, to deliver a consumer device that would enhance the backup and recovery process.

According to Rebit, Seagate’s Replica PC backup appliance combines its software with Seagate storage and backup system. It stores up-to-date copies of everything on a PC, including installed applications, operating system, e-mail, pictures, music, movies, internet bookmarks and settings.

The new appliance is available in two configurations, a multiple PC or single PC capacities. The multi-PC option includes a dock and is designed for homes with two or more computers, and the single-PC version of the Seagate Replica is recommended for use with individual computers.

The multi PC option comes for a manufacturer’s suggested retail price of $199.99 and the single-PC version of the Seagate Replica is available for $129.99.
