Hughes Network Systems, a provider of broadband satellite networks and services, has launched its latest generation HX broadband satellite routers, the HX260 Mesh and the HX200.
According to the company, the new routers provide up to twice the throughput performance and build on the advanced DVB-S2/ACM bandwidth management of the highly successful HX System.
The HX260 features an integrated, multi-channel TDMA demodulator, enabling simultaneous mesh and star mode connectivity within the HX System, ideal for private networks providing a mix of voice and data services, and can be managed from one central NOC location, said Hughes Network Systems.
The HX200 supports connection to a variety of radios, including L-Band BUCs, and is easily configured to support the full range of advanced features offered by the HX System, including mobility support.
Dave Jupin, vice president for international division at Hughes, said: Our new HX260 and HX200 broadband routers bring a new level of performance and functionality to the highly successful HX System family. Fully compliant with the bandwidth-efficient DVB-S2 standard with ACM, these new router platforms enable operators to rapidly configure both star and mesh networking topologies to provide cost-efficient, combined mesh voice and data services, including on-the-move mobility applications.
