Comverse, a provider of mobility services, announced the launch of visual voicemail service on iPhone3G by 3 Hong Kong, the mobile operation of Hutchison Telecommunications.
Visual Voicemail, a part of the Comverse Voice HUB, is a single platform for multiple voice-related services, such as, voicemail, ringback tones and call completion.
Through voicemail in a message inbox, users can get information about sender, time of call and message length. Users can delete and reply to any message.
Amy Lung, chief operating officer of Mobile of Hutchison Telecom Hong Kong, said: “Being the first operator in our market to provide visual voicemail on the iPhone3G extends our string of market firsts, which also includes launching the city’s first 3G network.

“Operators welcome the boost in user satisfaction,” he said, “as well as the additional revenues generated through increased voicemail usage and premium service positioning.”
