Sprint, a provider of wireless and wireline communications products and services, has deployed Acision’s advanced messaging infrastructure.

Acision’s messaging system will ensure Sprint can give their customers what they want the instant they want it, and it is also expected to provide Sprint with the capability to deliver superior messaging services to its customers, supporting Sprint’s quest to improve the handset experience and personalize support.

In 2008, to support this ongoing increase in messaging usage, Sprint deployed an advanced next-generation messaging system from Acision within its network.

Wayne Irwin, president of the Americas at Acision, said: We are confident that in 2009 messaging will continue to dominate as a primary communication tool and, like Sprint, it is vital that operators have the infrastrucure in place to support this and provide the optimum customer experience.

In 2009, we will continue to work with operators in North America and across the world to develop and deliver new capabilities and features that will help retain subscribers and grow their existing user community. We have been delighted to work with Sprint as they focus on delivering a superior messaging experience to their customer base.
