Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has won a managed IT services deal worth with UK-based 4UGroup.
The 4UGroup is the holding company for three public international e-commerce enterprises. TCS will provide various IT services including application support, maintenance, management and development; data centre and desktop services; helpdesk; networks and communications; business support; and management of all third party contracts for 4U’s retail operations.

This is the second major contract win for TCS in 2009, the first being a multi-million dollar agreement with Italian motorbikes manufacturer Ducati. Under the agreement, TCS will initially implement an ERP system for Ducati Motor Holding and its subsidiaries in Europe, in partnership with KPMG Advisory Italy.
TCS has posted revenue of $1,483m and net income of $276m (up 18% year on year) in Q3 ended Dec 31, 2008. It claims to have won 41 new clients during the quarter.
